Part Time Counter help
Starting at $12.00 per hour. We are looking for part-time counter help. Must be willing to work weekends & weekdays. Daily tasks include: greeting and assisting customers & dealers moving items in & out of store, help managers price & place merchandise in mall, complete sales transactions, general book keeping, data entry, general housekeeping & cleaning of restrooms, booths & mall.

We have arrangements starting at $100 per month with no long term commitment. We prefer antique & vintage items, original items of art & nicely repurposed items. If you are interested in working with us, please email us or catch up with us on weekends at Tuckahoe Antiques.
Consignment Terms:
We sometimes take consignment items. We treat these items just like our own. We price & display the items just like we do our own items. If an item on consignment gets broken, stolen etc we will not pay out for it. The vast majority of items that we have on consignment sell. As time goes on we tend to mark items down & / or discount them more just like we do with our own items. When an item sells it gets recorded & the consignor receives a check for 75% of what the item sells for. We keep 25% of the final sales price of the items. We pay out twice monthly & checks are available for pickup only. We pay sales tax & credit card fees for the consignor. We do not inventory items but they are recorded as they sell. At any time, people can take their remaining items home as they are still the property of the consignor until they sell. Please feel free to ask questions & do not consign with us unless you are willing to abide by these terms.
Terms
Purchasing:
We prefer that you inspect, purchase, remove & transport items in person at our live shops in Nellysford & Covesville Virginia. If you have found us on the Internet, & wish to examine the item(s) for yourself, before bidding/buying, just show up here in Nellysford & Covesville, Central Virginia. If you can’t make it to our store, see our website under “Just In”.
Storage:
We can store most item(s) for you for up to 30 days until you, your agent or shipping company can pick it / them up during our normal hours at our live store. After 30 days we charge $5.00 per item per day. If items stay here longer than 6 months, without communication from the buyer, we may consider it abandoned. At that point we may liquidate the items to cover storage expenses, no refunds.
Delivery:
Sometimes customers make “piles” to be stored together & delivered/shipped all at once to save the customer money. We prefer that local people, buying smaller loads, find a way to transport item(s). We are happy to help load your vehicle. Of course if you need more help, just ask. Most local deliveries cost $50 – $100 depending on a number of variables. If this seems high to you, maybe you could have a friend or relative with a pickup truck that could help for less. Sometimes we simply don’t have enough hours in our days to do deliveries so please don’t assume that we will deliver to you, without asking.
Refunds / Exchanges / Consignment:
If you purchase items & decide that they don’t all work for you , we sometimes agree to refunds, store credit for the dealer in question’s items or we can consign items to liquidate them for you. It is difficult to take items back that were sold because they often belong to different people who may have already been paid for them. Also, we may have already marked the items sold which means that other interested parties think it is gone & then the item sits without selling. Once an item is sold & it comes back on the market sometimes people are suspicious. It is always best to make sure the item is the right size & the right color before you buy it. Keep in mind that none of our items are perfect & they all show evidence of use, wear & age. If you only want something if it is pristine, please let us know that before you purchase an item.
